Oil on canvas pad...16in x 20in From my imagination....but inspired by Noh masks even in oil painting, i'm still 'illustrative'...i'm not sure if that is good or bad....

Hey there Evelyn! How are you? actually, this is still terribly far from the style you mentioned as this is too 'blendy'. I'm taking lessons from a very good teacher/artist. Started Jan this year but actual painting did not start until mid of April. He's teaching me the alla prima way, but when i practise on my own at home, my paintings turned out to be..well, this way - which is not good i guess...but i wonder, if it is at all possible to be alla prima when you're painting out of your imagination. Niway, i've not even touched colours! So this piece is really very 'amateur-ish', if not lower-levelled.
